Welcome to my artist log, my first post…

Let’s hope I can do this…I want to share with you what I’m doing in the studio and I thought this might be a way. Except I’m really good at starting things but my follow thru isn’t so good. So, I’m going to try….at least let’s try to post once a week or maybe 2x a week. If I have much to report on. Sure, I could do this on another platform, like facebook or tik-tok but I don’t always like to be on camera, plus I seem to stutter and stammer about what I’m trying to say.

Ok, let’s get into it(not a lot to say but I have to start somewhere)…recently I bought some Red River paper to do prints so I’m trying to figure that out. They won't be big prints just small ones maybe like 4×6 or 5×7. I also bought some sticker paper, thinking my old plotter might work for cutting them out. But, so far that has led to just me ripping my hair out, I think it’s just too old and they don’t make a new enough software to talk to my computer. So, for now stickers are hold. I’m going to switch gears and go back to scanning all my 100 day artwork to maybe make some of my bugs available in prints soon. Also, I have a picture of my recent “Dark Luster” that I can work on making prints of. I’d like to maybe make prints of "Undergrowth” but its really been hard to photograph that one.

That’s the next thing I’m working on is figuring out the sales end of this platform. Since I’ve switched to square space I haven’t sold anything so I haven’t connected all the necessary widgets to make that end work. But I would like to get to that point….”Undergrowth” is for sale it just has to make to my website.

I think that might be all I have going right now…I’m in the process of starting a few new paintings…well, one is new and one is a revisit to an old painting...
