Instagram Art Auction Posts

Let’s be real here - although I love tapping into Spirit and painting what comes through. A girl has to make money to live….or at least buy coffee! My husband is completely happy with me living off of him but I am not. I like to make my own money to have and to spend the way I want (lol). So, while I’m working on larger pieces and perfecting this communication skills with Spirit, I’ve decided I will make/create small works of art to auction off on instagram posts. This is not my original idea, I follow another artist that does this so I thought ‘hey, why not I’ll give it try’.

I’ve posted my first piece “Feet” and we will see where it goes. I’m sure it will be a slow start as is most things with social media and its so finicky these days on who sees what. But, you have to start somewhere and if I never put it out there, it’s never going to be seen or sell. Also, this helps in the long run too….start at selling small works then when I have something big and really good it will be a no brainer. My friend has been telling me to put my stuff out there FOREVER but truly its just really scary to do that.

I already know my piece for today. I’m painting these smalls by suggestion - one of the suggestions was “Dolly” and today is 9/25 so how could I not do “Dolly”!!!!! And play her music while I paint…..it’s going to be great day painting! Come back see what’s new. Oh and I will drop a photo of the first instagram art auction post…(so we can laugh about it a few years).
